Global dedicated bioanalytical CRO with sites across the UK, USA, Australia, and China

Resolian is a global bioanalytical CRO providing integrated support across all phases of drug development, from early discovery through late-phase clinical trials. With Gyrolab workstations operating at sites in the UK and USA, Resolian has been one of the longest-standing Gyrolab users in the CRO landscape, acquiring their first instrument in 2007 and becoming the first CRO to establish a GLP-validated method on the platform.

Over 15 years of Gyrolab expertise

Resolian Bioanalytics UK has built deep platform knowledge over more than 15 years of continuous Gyrolab use. Today, the UK team operates three validated Gyrolab instruments supporting multiple concurrent studies across early and late-phase clinical work, preclinical GLP studies, and exploratory drug discovery programmes. In the USA, the Malvern, PA site runs two validated Gyrolab xPlore workstations, with a team of over 10 dedicated specialists and analysts.

The primary applications span pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies across a broad range of matrices, including plasma, serum, CSF, and tissue homogenates. Beyond PK/PD, Resolian's teams are actively applying the platform to ADA detection and investigating oligonucleotide quantification — an area of increasing interest across their sponsor base.

"Replacing periods of passive binding with short incubations and nanofluidics changes the paradigm of how the assays are working. Assays that don't work in a standard format can work in Gyrolab, which has helped in several cases where ELISA has failed. Using the Gyrolab system can lead to a step change in performance and gives levels of assay robustness not seen on plate-based methods."

Capacity and expertise at CRO scale

Resolian's approach to Gyrolab is built around both technical depth and operational scale. The UK bioanalytical team includes 16 trained analysts and dedicated technical specialists, with the capacity to develop, transfer, and validate bespoke methods while supporting large sample analysis studies in parallel. Validated methods are developed to ICH M10 guidelines, with full GLP and GCP compliance across all phases of sample analysis.

"With a team of dedicated technical specialists, 16 trained analysts and three 5-CD Gyrolab instruments, we have the knowledge and capacity to develop, transfer and validate bespoke methods whilst supporting large sample analysis studies in parallel."

Consistent, reproducible data across sites

The automation of the Gyrolab platform is central to the data quality Resolian delivers to sponsors. By mitigating human error and removing extended passive binding incubations, the platform limits matrix effects and supports assay performance in up to 50% matrix. The result is consistent, reproducible data across runs, analysts, and sites.

"The semi-automated Gyrolab workstations provide our clients a robust immunoassay for the development, validation, and execution of biomarker, pharmacokinetic, toxicity, and immunogenicity assays for drug development."

Active contributors to the bioanalytical community

Resolian is a regular contributor to the wider bioanalytical community, presenting at EBF, Reid, Biomarkers UK, and the annual Gyrolab User Group Conference. Recent presentations have covered selectivity strategies in LBA PK assays, oligonucleotide measurement on Gyrolab, microsampling, and ADA method development, reflecting the breadth of applied expertise the team brings to the platform
