Gyrolab immunoassays reduce time to data delivery and shorten sponsor study duration
Gyrolab® automated platform runs immunoassays in nanoliter scale and is widely used for pharmacokinetic (PK) studies as an improvement on ELISA and other plate-based assays. Its automation and high precision microfluidics produce robust data with shorter assay turnaround times, making it an ideal platform for meeting timelines in preclinical and clinical studies. Charles River Laboratories (CRL) Reno developed a pipeline for PK analysis, combining the automated Gyrolab platform with a liquid handler and statistics software. A comparison between the automated Gyrolab assays and manual plate-based assays run at Charles River Reno during 2024 showed that the automated workflow reduced the study time by 6 days on average, from 27 to 21 days, with maintained precision.
